Rooms for refugees
21 years ago, a small charity started to offer support to Scotland’s ethnic minority communities who were living at the sharp end of poverty and housing need – often experiencing discrimination and harassment within their communities. 21 years later, demand for its services has never been greater with the world’s worst refugee crisis since WW2 bringing a whole new dimension to its work. Amongst its many activities, PAiH coordinate a community based, humanitarian service for those in need of a place to stay – Rooms for Refugees. More than 4000 host families have stepped forward.
