Across the sector and across Scotland
The Community Learning Exchange, funded by the Scottish Government, is one of the ways the Scottish Community Alliance seeks to support local community activity and invest in the work of our membership across Scotland. The fund offers small pots of money to build levels of mutual support across the Community Sector through peer to peer learning- the best way to test and develop new ideas is to learn from people already on the journey themselves!

Blended approach
The learning exchange covers the cost of both virtual and/or in person visits to ensure it is as accessible as possible.
Who can apply?
The funding is there to support local community groups connect and share peer learning across Scotland. It’s a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with new networks and partnerships.
To be eligible to apply, applicants can access the fund through the SCA’s member networks.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does is take to receive the funds I’ve applied for?
It can take up to 3 weeks from submission of your application to your funds being released, so please ensure you plan this into arranging dates for your exchange.
Where do I find all the paper work I need to complete after my exchange?
All information regarding receipts, evaluation forms and expense sheets will be sent with your Acceptance of Grant Form.
When should I submit my expense receipts and evaluation form?
These should be submitted to us within 2 weeks of your exchange taking place.
What can’t the Learning Exchange fund?
- Delegate fees for conferences, seminars, workshops, meetings etc.
- Travel/attendance at events or the hosting of events
- Training courses, delivery of or attendance
